You may have noticed that Brugbart is using Google Adsense. The revenue has been close to nothing ever since i signed up, but is now steadily increasing.
If you plan on using Adsense for your website, don't expect to get rich. You really need a good niche, and a lot of traffic. Most blogs in particular, likely wont earn enough to cover their own hosting expenses, in fact, Brugbart still struggle to do just that.
I have been a bit slow at posting new content to Brugbart, which may have contributed. And there are lots of competing sites in my niche. But one thing for sure, its a fun struggle, its fun to watch where your visitors are coming from, and how your pages continue to get higher placement in google.
Suddenly i got this Tutorial on PHP if statements, placed in the top 5, and it started getting hits. One problem with search engines today, is that you need to be placed in the Top 3 just to get a few hits, so counting on search traffic alone seems rather thin. I got many pages in the top 10, which never seem to get any hits, despite having multiple searchers.
