The year is coming to an end, and i think its time to make one last post for 2012.
I have been working extra hard doing this December, mainly trying to create new content, but my efforts have yet to pay-off when it comes to ranking. The content is indexed, but it seems google is taking its time on the ranking part. This content is low-competition, so given Brugbarts authority, this should at least make its way into the top-10 of the results.
I created a few new tutorials, intended to bring in some more traffic for Brugbart, one of these tutorials was on how to use foreach in javascript - so does this mean that the javascript tutorial has been resurrected? It was pretty much dead for a long time, but i am slowly beginning to post more content to it.
I got other ideas for Brugbart to, currently a more or less empty placeholder for tutorials in visual studio - it was my intention that i would write some tutorials in this area, but i never really got started. Having such empty pages is of course bad, so I'll either have to hide it until i get around writing something, or delete it entirely. Hopefully visual studio will be some of the first i focus on in the new year!
The php tutorial has also received much attention here in December, the tutorials on http requests may have been some of the first quality tutorials i wrote after a longer break. Most people have no idea about how much there is to write about, even in a crowded area such as PHP - the php in array tutorial also came out rather well.
So my focus in 2013 will be entirely different than what it has been up until now. It seemed hard to find stuff to write about before, but currently it feels like i got tons to write about. And the traffic? Its increasing in smaller chunks, and so far it appears to be lasting traffic.
I also focus more on twitter now - having just around 30k followers myself, and over 10k with Brugbarts official twitter - referral traffic from twitter is slowly increasing. I'm not getting more traffic from twitter, than from anywhere else - the majority traffic still comes from google search though!
Anyway.. I'll just write a couple of tutorials, then i will be heading off to celebrate new years eve with some friends.
