The PHP Tutorial on Brugbart

The: 24/11/2012 - AT: 5:47

I'm still waiting for my hand to heal fully, but its not much of a problem to use my left hand when working on Brugbart.

I have recently been working on the PHP Tutorial, and it's coming out really well i think.

Some of the new tutorials are dealing with HTTP requests in PHP. This is useful if you want to login to another website using PHP. Most sites are using HTML forms and POST requests to allow users to login.

Its really not that hard to make php post requests, it can be done trough a simple function like File_get_contents (you can even control the http headers to.) This works for both get and post requests in php.

You can also make http get requests in php, and use the methods shown in the next tutorial to change the http headers. This is also important when it comes to logging in to other websites.

I have personally created a login script for twitter – just to give you an idea of what is possible – so you should really check out these tutorials. Its a useful addition to any existing php skills that you have.
